Looking Back At 2015

2015 has been an absolute whirlwind, I cannot believe how quickly the year has gone, but it has been one of the best years ever. From my first year of being married, to my 22nd birthday, to the launch of my blog, to times that haven’t been so great, but that’s okay! In this post I will be looking back at every moment, and having a little bit of nostalgia too!

Receiving our wedding photos – In the January Paul & I were waiting for our wedding photos, and when they came through the post it was one of the best moments! I saw the photos first because Paul was at work, but when I looked through I was crying my eyes out. I think it was honestly just a culmination of everything, we had finally got married, we have some beautiful photos with our families, friends to mark the best days of our lives.

1st Valentines Day – I know that sounds silly, but honestly it felt different, the way we were with each other, how special the day was, even the valentines day card! I was so excited for Valentines day, Paul is so romantic, we had vegan pizza, champagne, candles and a box set and honestly it was so perfect!

My birthday – I love birthday’s well I love other people’s more because I like seeing their face when they get their present, but this year we went away for the night to Brighton! Paul & I adore Brighton, we went there for my birthday a few years ago and we had the best time ever so it was perfect to be able to go back!

My mental health – honestly it can be so up and down, but right now, at this time of year, I’m in a fantastic place, I have a wonderful husband, family, friends & loved one, I am so lucky to have wonderful people around me. The other fabulous thing at the moment is the fact I’m coming off my medication, and that shows how far I’ve come!

Wedding anniversary – As most people will know, it was my wedding anniversary on the 14th of this month, and Paul and I celebrated with a box set, some champagne & pizza. It might not sound like we had a lot of fun, but honestly it was the best way to celebrate our wedding anniversary! We didn’t need to spend lots of money to remind ourselves of the day that we married each other, we say those vows to each other everyday when we wake up in the morning  and say I love you.

How has your year been? Name a few things that have stood out for you this year!

This was such a lovely post to read, Amie, it sounds like you’ve had an amazing year! My highlights are probably passing my second year of uni with a 1st, work experience, and all the laughs I’ve had with family and friends 🙂 xx

This is such a lovely recap. 2015 is the year in which I sent off my uni application, something I never thought I’d do.
